American Water Works Association
The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is an international, non-profit, professional organization dedicated to the improvement of water quality and supply, and is the largest organization of water professionals in the world. AWWA members represent the full spectrum of the water community: treatment plant operators and managers, scientists, environmentalists, manufacturers, academics, regulators, and others with an interest in water supply and public health. The AWWA accomplishes its mission through advocacy, communications, conferences, education and training, science and technology, and local action.
Connecticut Clean Energy Fund
The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) was created by the Connecticut General Assembly and is administered by Connecticut Innovations, a quasi-public state agency. CCEF is promoting the development and commercialization of clean energy technologies and is stimulating markets for electricity from clean renewable sources. CCEF’s funding comes from a surcharge on electric ratepayers’ utility bills.
ISO New England
Created in 1997, ISO New England is the not-for-profit corporation responsible for the day-to-day reliable operation of New England’s bulk power generation and transmission system with an installed capacity of 32,000 megawatts; oversight and fair administration of the region’s wholesale electricity marketplace, comprised of more than 200 market participants; and management of a comprehensive regional bulk power system planning process.
National Association of Water Companies
The National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) represents all aspects of the private water service industry. The range of NAWC members’ business includes ownership of regulated drinking water and wastewater utilities and the many forms of public-private partnerships and management contract arrangements. The NAWC’s mission is to promote the value of the private sector as the provider of quality, sustainable, water services and innovative solutions.
New Energy New York
New Energy New York (NENY) is a consortium of New York energy-related technology organizations convened to expand and promote energy technology excellence in New York State. NENY’s mission is to unite energy technology organizations for purposes of pursuing common technology initiatives, promoting New York State as a center for new energy technologies, and expanding economic development opportunities and placing New York State as an important focus of energy development in the nation.
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is a public benefit corporation created in 1975 under the New York State Atomic and Space Development Authority. NYSERDA’s main objective is to help New York meet its energy goals which include; reducing energy consumption, promoting the use of renewable energy sources, and protecting the environment. NYSERDA is primarily funded by state rate payers through the Systems Benefits Charge, and these funds help to create energy-efficiency programs, research and development initiatives, low-income energy programs, and environmental disclosure activities.
NYU-Poly
The NYU-Poly incubator is a joint creation between Polytechnic Institute of NYU and New York City to form a business incubator that nurtures innovative start-ups, supplies jobs, and taps into the entrepreneurial spirit that built New York City.
NYC ACRE
The New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Renewable Economy (NYC ACRE) helps clean technology and renewable energy companies in New York City grow, advancing the City as a role model for environmental sustainability and smart growth. NYC ACRE is seeded by a four year, $1.6M grant from the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) to NYU-Poly aimed at growing an ecosystem of entrepreneurs, international companies, and innovative local businesses that are providing solutions to climate and energy issues while growing the cleantech/renewable energy sector and creating jobs in NYC.
Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association
The Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association (PMAA) represents the interests of more than 2,600 municipal authorities across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is the primary voice of community-based services within the state. Services provided by the PMAA include advocacy on governmental affairs issues, education and training, and group programs. The PMAA is the largest association in Pennsylvania specifically representing the interests of municipal authorities.
Rhode Island State Energy Office
The Rhode Island State Energy Office (RISEO) administers a variety of federal and state program grants which provide a broad spectrum of energy assistance, energy and water conservation, and weatherization services to the people of Rhode Island.
The Association of California Water Agencies
The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) is the largest statewide coalition of public water agencies in the country. Its nearly 450 public agency members collectively are responsible for 90% of the water delivered to cities, farms, and businesses in California.
Water Works Operators’ Association of Pennsylvania
The mission of Water Works Operators’ Association of Pennsylvania (WWOAP) is to increase the knowledge and expertise of those working at all levels and in all sectors of Pennsylvania’s water supply industry. WWOAP accomplishes this mission by disseminating and exchanging information regarding public water supply design, construction, operation and management through all possible resources available to the organization.
