Frank Zammataro
CEO & Co-Founder
Mr. Zammataro has over 35 years of operating experience within large and small organizations primarily in the development and marketing of emerging technologies. Prior to co-founding Rentricity, Mr. Zammataro served as Chief Marketing Officer of w-Technologies, a wireless software company, where he drove global market and product strategy, business development, and corporate communications activities.
While at Merrill Lynch for 21 years, he served as FVP/ Managing Director of Investments and Alliances in the Private Client Division, where he maintained overall responsibility for technology related strategic alliances, investments, marketing, and sales.
Mr. Zammataro is a contributing columnist, speaks frequently at leading industry events, and participates in various industry, municipal, and academic organizations. After graduating from St. John’s University with a B.A. in Political Science and Communications Arts, Mr. Zammataro attended New York University to pursue a master’s degree in New Media. Mr. Zammataro also completed the Executive Leadership Development Program at The Wharton School.
Al Spinell
COO & Co-Founder
Mr. Spinell has over 35 years of experience with three world-recognized companies in the power and energy sectors; Combustion Engineering, Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), and Westinghouse. He held a variety of executive positions in the areas of engineering, operations, sales and marketing, strategy, and technology. Mr. Spinell’s entire career in traditional and renewable projects has focused on developing and commercializing power projects, large and small.
Prior to his professional career, Mr. Spinell received a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and M.S. degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Industrial Management from Purdue University.
Jason Scharfspitz
Co-Founder & Advisor
Current Vice President of M&A, Strategy, and Structured Finance for Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company. Former Director of Business Development at IPC, a mission-critical communications company, with extensive background establishing and growing new organizations. Mr. Scharfspitz earned his MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dan Connors
Advisor
Mr. Connors’ background includes 30 years of experience in energy and water technologies in progressive engineering, sales, sales management, and general management positions.
Prior to Rentricity, Mr. Connors’ career included 17 years with Dorr-Oliver, an established equipment supplier to the water/wastewater and environmental industries. He lead an alternative energy technology startup to a successful acquisition and co-founded a company to bring new small wind and HVAC technology to the US markets. Mr. Connors has extensive business development and strategic planning experience in emerging and established markets as well as experience with intellectual property and technology commercialization across a range of technology sectors including central and distributed power generation, biomass to energy systems, hydrogen fuel cells, solar PV, and wind power.
Mr. Connors holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College and a MBA/Marketing from Iona College.
