BCWSA Regulator VaultRentricity completed a preliminary design study for an in-pipe hydropower system for BCWSA’s new Feasterville vault in 2013, which resulted in an “energy recovery ready” vault design. Upon energizing the new pipeline, BCWSA chose to further improve the infrastructure by adding a 50 to 100 kilowatt Flow-to-Wire system. The system, to be located within the Feasterville Tank pressure regulator underground vault, will supply the power to the local grid.
